 Our Story

Time to update this. It's now 2020 and we are in the middle of the Corona Virus eperdemic. The stay at home rules for those of us that are vulnerable has created an oppurtunity to update a few things. Thanks to all the faithful users of our software over the years. I am now 70 and sort of retired. We have a great team running our electrical business and this website has been a bit of a hobby of mine now for around 18 years. A lot of the content below has obviously changed over the years. My daughter wrote the following in about 2004.

In April, 2002 Don Neal researched schematic diagram software for his electrical business, Don Neal Electrical. He discovered that his only option was to purchase and use one of a range of professional drafting specific programs, an option which was not only expensive but would require considerable time and resources to learn to use. As a result he developed CircuitWiz - an affordable, easy to use alternative which utilizes MicroSoft Excel as a basis to generate professional schematic diagrams. The diagrams conform to SAA standards and utilize symbols from either the European Standards (IEC) or North American standards (ANSI), depending on the version used.

We have now had five versions released of CircuitWiz© and at the start of 2004 released CableWiz - now CalcWiz© which makes Maximum Demand, Fault Loop Impedence, Current Capacity and Voltage Drop calculations in accordance with Australian Standards a breeze. Our development process is very customer orientated and we would like to hear from any of our users (or potential users) with ideas or feedback so we can continue to develop programs designed to meet the needs of our users.
